German Potato Salad

1 lb bacon

6 T. flour

Salt (to taste)

1/4 cup chopped onion

3/4 cup sugar

3/4 cup vinegar

1 1/2 cup water

8 cups cooked potatoes, cut up (cook with skins on, then peel)

Cut bacon and fry until crisp.  Stir in flour, salt and sugar.  Add onions, vinegar and water.  Stir until bubbly and thick.  Add potatoes.  Stir gently and heat through.  Serve warm.
