Text Box: This first wine is a ton of fun!! It is the Umeshu from Choya. This is a Japanese Plum wine with plums inside the bottle. UME-fruit liqueur has been a familiar beverage in Japanese households, well known and loved for its relaxing effect as well as its usefulness for keeping healthy. You will note the faint aroma, well-balanced acidity and sweetness of the UME fruit, you will find it to be very satisfying. The UME fruit contains citric acid which is known to relieve fatigue and help the body recover its energy and vitality, also known to purify the body’s internal organs. Backed by well-substantiated scientific proof, UME-fruit liqueur is synonymous with good health. And besides that, it tastes really good!! Silky smooth, very intense fruit, sweet. Will pair excellent with any Asian cuisine, or can be enjoyed as an aperitif or as a dessert drink. Retails for $13.99/bottle.
Time to party Wine Club Members!! Ready??? 1—2—3 LIFT!! OMG. This bottle’s heavy!! You will need two hands for this next one. The bottle alone weighs 2 pounds!! Inside this heavyweight, is the Mendoza De Argentina Conquista Reserve Malbec 2005!! Smell the aromas!! Very fruit forward. This wine carries dense flavors of dark plum and chocolate, layered with toasted oak with supple tannins. Slightly dry. Silky finish that does not want to quit. The perfect match for a grilled New York Strip (w/mushrooms). Would also be the perfect match for a medium to strong cheese—begging for another sip of wine. Retails for $16.99/bottle.
