Back by popular demand . . .  Leinies Bus Trip!!!  The date has been set!!  Sunday, October 7th!!  Bus leaves Furlong’s Liquor at 10:30 a.m.    $10.00 for Wine Club Members, $15.00/person everyone else.  Sign-up sheet is at Furlong’s.  There are just a few spots left on the bus!

Oktoberfest Beer & Wine Tasting—Oak Marsh Club House—Oakdale—Thursday, October 11th!!  6:00—8:00 p.m.  $20.00 at the door.  Hope to see you there!

 

Frozen Cappuccinos

2 cups freshly brewed espresso (cool to room temperature)

4 cups ice cubes

1/2 cup half and half

1/4 cup plus 2 T. superfine sugar

2 T. cocoa powder

1/2 cup Kahlua

Cinnamon

In a blender, blend all ingredients until smooth but thick.  Pour into 4 tall glasses and garnish with cinnamon. 

 

 

 

      Cream together butter and sugar.  Add egg and flour and mix well.  Drop by small tsp onto cookie sheet.  Pat with floured bottom of a glass.  Make into very thin little circles (half dollar size).  Bake at 325 degrees for 10 minutes, until just golden brown on the edges. 

  In the meantime, cook the sweetened condensed milk (the entire can up-opened) in a large saucepan, cover with water.  Bring to boil and simmer 2 hours.  This turns into caramel.

  Sandwich two cookies together with the cooked condensed milk.  Yummy!!
