Text Box: We are very proud to bring you our white selection for the month—the Hatzidakis Santorini. Harry Hatzidakis is considered one of Greece’s top wine producers. His wines have won many prestigious gold medal awards. The blend of Assyrtiko, Aidani and Athiri—Greece’s finest white varieties, will be sure to please you. Assyrtiko is one of Greece’s finest multi-purpose powerful, white grape varieties. It was first cultivated on the island of Santorini, where it has developed a unique character, producing excellent AOC wines. It has citrus aromas. Very pale orange in color—dominated by gold. This is a dry white wine, intense palate of citrus fruit, both spicy and earthy. This one has 13.5% alcohol content. Perfect for grilled fish, octopus or a salad. Retails for $12.99/bottle.
This next one is a gift from the Greek Gods. It is the Megas Oenos—Skouras. This one was a gold medal winner in the International Thessaloniki Wine Competition 2007. It is a wine of exceptional complexity. Expert blend of Aghiorgitiko 80% (Saint George) cultivated in the region of Nemea in stony soil at an altitude of 650 m and Cabernet Sauvignon (20%), cultivated in the Peloponnese. Comes from the Winemaster George Skouras. In 1986, he established his winery at Pyrghela, a small village just outside Argos. In 1988, Skouras launched his pioneering Megas Oenos. Pioneering, because he was the first to blend the native Aghiorgitiko with Cabernet Sauvignon, producing illustrious results. Deep purple cherries and suave smokiness. Rich on the palate with a long luscious flavour and cabernet’s bite on the finish. A classic!! Serve with lamb, roast venison or wild mushroom risotto. Retails for $24.99/bottle.

Love is a symbol of Eternity

It wipes out all sense of time,

Destroying all memory of a beginning and

All fear of an end..
