Text Box: Introducing the zesty Quinta da Romeira Arinto, from the historic Quinta da Romeira estate in Bucelas. Winemaker Joao Correa creates a white wine that shows off the natural charm of the Arinto grape. This varietal Arinto is made in a light, fresh style. The juice undergoes cold maceration on the skins for 6-8 hours after crushing, to increase aromatic concentration. After soft pressing, fermentation occurs slowly over a period of 10—12 days at temperatures between 60 to 65 degrees, in closed stainless steel tanks. This helps retain the lively citrus notes. The wine is stored in closed vats, cold-stabilized and bottled early. This wine carries light harmonious flavors of lemon citrus, apple, pineapple and a touch of mineral herb. Let it breathe for 5 minutes or so. Serve chilled. It is a refreshing aperitif and is perfect with seafood or white meat dishes. Retails for $10.99/bottle.
Now it is time to seduce your senses . . . A judicious blend of the most prestigious growths, including vintage Ports more than 20 years old. Sumptuous, fruity bouquet with nut and fig aromas. We are very proud to bring to you Award winning Porto Cruz Special Reserve from the Douro region, in Northern Portugal. Both the city and river of Douro are known as the wildest wine-growing landscapes in the world, where donkeys and mules still assist in transporting the harvest to the quinta. The grapes are grown in the Douro region on the steep banks of the Douro River. Grapes are fermented with the addition of brandy to arrest the fermentation and keep these wines sweet and rich, as they are so well known for. Carefully blended with the finest brandy. Watch out!! This one is a powerful one—19%. Chocolate would be an excellent pairing with this fine wine, especially dark chocolate or perhaps a pecan pie. Retails for $21.99/bottle.
