This fine wine comes from the Rioja esteemed sub region, Rioja Alta, which is situated among the rolling hills of the west valley of the River Ebro, and is known as one of its most prestigious and pristine sub regions of the already exalted Rioja wine region. This wine is 100% Viura—a zippy varietal. Pale, golden color. Vibrant aromas of white flowers, pear and melon. Medium body with fresh pear and tons of melon. Followed by a very nice creamy, buttery finish that does not quit!! Pairs outstanding with lobster, crab, risotto or a traditional Spanish dish like Tapas or Paella. Retails for $12.99/bottle. Celeste is an opulent wine brimming with fruit, body and colour: as unique as the night sky in the Ribera del Duero (where this wine is produced). About its origin: At 895 metres altitude you can almost touch the stars and shape the clouds. The dusk air is intense with fragrance. And the sun lights up the land in all its splendour. Here, at a height of 895 metres, Celeste is born, the Torres family’s first Ribera del Duero. First check out the label—then sense the aromas of this fine wine—it smells wonderful. Intense blackberry colour. Spicy and intense nose, with liquorice and black pepper hints on a base of well ripened fruits (blackberry and cherry). On the palate, very fruity at first with ripened tannins, also persistent and full bodied. This one really warms your insides up—you will be begging for more.
